When I was first laid off from my job of 30 years I had no clue what I would do to earn money for my family. My sister and I have always been avid knitters and her husband purchased the e-book, “Knitting for Profit” for her a few months earlier. It was not until I lost my job that she remembered her husband’s gift and that was all it took for us to get our knitting business off the ground.
Knitting for profit is a well thought out and insightful book that instructs you on the most basic principles of knitting and business meshed into one. It has so many features that listing them all here would take me longer than it would for you to read the book yourself, so I will list the best ones (In my opinion of course!)

Knitting For Profit Review – Why I Love it…
There are so many things I love about Knitting for Profit. For one thing, even though starting our own business seemed like an impossible and terrifying dream, Liz’s words were comforting and easy to understand. It was like seeing something we never dreamed could happen turn into a reality! What we once thought of as difficult became something that seemed in reach and even easy. I think the most valuable resource is the links to various sites that helped us along. Once we got going, it was the color selector bonus that really put the business over the top!

It is hard to get inspired sometimes and the suggestions in this book really brought out our creative juices. The one thing that I do wish Liz had done was make this book available in real print. E-Books are convenient, but someone from my generation really prefers to be able to earmark pages and make foot notes. I am keeping my fingers crossed that she may put this in an actual paper-back book form in the future!
For those people who are thinking about making money through knitting, I want to say that nothing is impossible. Even people who have no business savvy can make an excellent profit when they have the right information to go by. Knitting for Profit gives you this information. In fact, one of the bonus’s that helped us tremendously is the knitting pricing calculator. Once we decided to give this idea a try, figuring out how much to charge for our work was one of the top issues we had. The knitting calculator helps you to see exactly what you need to charge without taking any losses. If not for this tool we would have been guessing at fair prices and likely losing our shirts! This information alone was worth the cost of the book.
To sum it up, I would strongly suggest that anyone who wants to make money from knitting read this book. Without it we would have never been the success we are now. This book is so full of great ideas and step by step instructions that there is no way you can fail if you simply put your heart and mind into it.
